Fees

At Indigo Counselling we offer both in person and Telehealth sessions and are registered with Medicare so Australian clients may claim Medicare rebates on their Mental Health Treatment Plans (MHTP).

The AASW recommends a fee of $240 for a fifty-minute consult. At Indigo, in the interests of making mental health support more accessible, we adjust our fee as follows:

Appointment Fees

Initial Assessment- $200.00

75 minute initial assessment for individuals
$87.25 Australian Medicare Rebate with MHTP
Client Intake and Consent Form will be emailed to you prior to your first appointment.

Standard Counselling Session – $180.00

50-minute session for individuals
$87.25 Australian Medicare Rebate with MHTP

Telehealth Session – $180.00

50 minute session for individuals via Zoom/Microsoft Teams
$87.25 Australian Medicare Rebate with MHTP
Telehealth link will be emailed to you prior to your appointment

Medicare Rebates

Medicare rebates are available for up to 10 sessions each year with a General Practitioner (GP) referral and a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP). To get a Mental Health Treatment Plan contact your GP to make an appointment. Let the Reception staff know you would like a Mental Health Treatment Plan as some medical centres will book you a double appointment for this process.

NDIS

Janine is able to provide support to NDIS Clients that are self-managed or plan managed.
Standard rates apply at $180.00 for 50-minute session.
Report writing at $180 per hour.

Cancellation

When less than 24 hours’ notice is given, 100% of the session fee will be charged.
When less than 48 hours’ notice is given, 50% of the session fee will be charged.
Please note that Medicare does not cover cancellation fees.
